Collection Review: Shop Jeen

Spring is all about the pastel skinnies, the lace bustier crop top & those suede wedge heels; accessories wise, ditch the faux diamond ring and simple, silver bangles. Get iced out in glamorously grungy brand, Shop Jeen.

Collar tips are so in right now.
Pair these beauties with a sheer button up, or that new sleeveless white blouse via H&M's concsious collection. They're definitely a refreshing twist on accessorizing your top.

Skulls, spines, scales & molars? Shop Jeen's collection of necklaces is absolutely sick. The neck wear ranges from girly neon chains to  geometric icosahedrons to glazed ram skulls and snake spines. If you're looking for the absolute spotlight stealing accessory, throw on one of Shop Jeen's neck cuffs or strand of deer antlers.

Bangles and cuffs have been in style for spring, but take that solid silver and jazz it up with a hunk of coral, or give it a geometric twist. Shop Jeen's bracelets are ridiculously chic. You can balance out any girly bandeau dress with an arrow wrap.

Ah, my absolute favorite type of ice; a statement ring.
Shop Jeen's collection of rings disgust me in the fact that i can't have all of them. Once again, the wide variety of bones, claws, thorns, to pearls, brass and rhinstones makes this shop perfect for any occassion.

At this point, these accessories are speaking for themselves. I have to say, i've done a lot of collection reviews but i'm ridiculously impressed with Shop Jeen. The only negative? I have to wait for my new credit card to ship.

Cudi's Latest Track

Cudi dropped a track tonight & i bet you can already guess my opinion of it. Cudi has created a handful of remixes, random tracks, & instrumentals that stay consistently fresh. I'm obsessed with WZRD, but you can sense a different, more artistically free vibe with this one. I admire Scott for his ability to create such a wide variety of different styles, always staying true to his creative roots. I love the "Ghost" backdrop and the touch of bass because it gives the song an edgy, eerie feel to it. Take a listen and let me know what you think of it!

American Apparel Love

This is the love story between me & American Apparel.
I'll be innocently browsing the site, no intentions of commitment or anything serious. Sure, a lot of things catch my eye but i'm not trying to get into anything. Suddenly, a certain item winks at me. I click on that neon yellow tank dress and it starts flirting with me, telling me about how good i'd look in it, how many places i can where it to and all that nonsense. I try to ward off it's appeal by taking a breather to check twitter, but that tank dress already has me head over heels. I try to remember that i'm in no position to buy any more clothes as my dorm room is packed to the brim with blazers and high waist skinnies. Without fail, i'm under the spell of style and the tank dress is on it's way to me within 5-10 business days.
Cupid American Apparel strikes again.

Sure, i'm a self-admitting shop-a-holic, but it's not like i'm a hopeless fashion romantic. I can easily ignore the pair of Aldo leopard suede wedges; theres just something about AA that gets me. Think i'm being dramatic? See for yourself:

Alright, so it's a modern, simple blouse. Nothing too fancy.. pretty easy to say "no" to, right?
But then again the simplicity of the silhouette would make it easy to wear some lace Lita platform boots without looking cheap, and then pairing it with a pair of American flag high waist shorts would be beyond sickening. Face it, the overall look and easy-pairing ability of this blouse has you written all over it.

Don't lie.. you just glanced at this dress and from this point on you now believe in love at first sight. I'm not judging; The variety of colors, form-fitting style and the idea of rocking it on that cruise is enough to prompt you to press the purchase button.

Alright, this isn't even fair. If you know me and you know my style, chiffon blouses are one of my wardrobe staples for any occasion. Oh, American Apparel is gonna make it available in a million different colors and add an adorably girly center tie? Take my credit card information, just take it.

Yes, i did just tempt you with a pink bandeau wrap mini-dress. This little number speaks for itself, but If you've got the thighs and gluts, enjoy the envious stares you'll be feeding off of all night.
I know you're probably like "wtf, a bodysuit?" This piece is featured in their "dance-wear" department but is incredible for layering. You know how annoying it is to take a preppy high waist skirt and a non-conforming tank top and try to make it work? Problem solved. The body suits look amazing under jeans, shorts and skirts. Skepticism destroyed.
I'm betting you price-checked a few of these pieces, or maybe even purchased an item. Did you make it without pulling out the debit? Congrats, but don't deny the lingering attraction that's just been cast on you by one beautiful brand. Browse American Apparel for more simple style staples.

Collection Review

Okay, i don't know why it took me this long to review this collection, but i think i was just trying to review without sounding over-dramatic. Basically, this collection is my spirit animal. I love everything about it. It's a bit 70's with a modern edge on cuts and fabrics. I love H&M, and this collection just proves our relationship is a two way street. The most beautiful aspect of these designs are the simple, minimalistic styles. Getting back to the basics is a fresh take on fashion amongst couture and runway collections.

Women's
The women's collection is made up of delicate cuts, pastel colors, sheer fabric and wearable couture. I don't know what is more appealing, the gorgeous designs or the affordable prices.

Men's
The men's line is made up of wardrobe staples; $10 button ups, well constructed white blazers and collared polos. I think designers often forget how beautiful clothing can be without plunging necklines, skin-tight booty shorts and crop tops.

This collection is classic, edgy, young & self explanatory: conscious.

Runway Review

This season, men's runway fashion has taken colors and patterns up a notch; a fresh
take on suits, blazers, shorts and footwear. Many designers use a couture twist on collections, so i've spotlighted Balmain & Louis Vuitton; both fashion forward, edgy and wearable.

Balmain proves pastels aren't just for the ladies.
This look is super clean and put together, made up of a simple
cream collared button up, white jeans, a light layer scarf & lace up boots.

Trying to stay put together but simple?
Try a leather jacket and a pastel v-neck, paired with a minimalistic
type of jewelry. Armani Exchange has the sickest men's accessories.

Dyed denim is big this spring; men's styles are coming forward in pale yellows and
turqouise. My favorite look on a man is a jean/blazer combo, sophisticated yet chill.
Pair this UO ivory blazer with some 80s Purple denim and a classic belt.

Such a classic look with some edgy pieces. I love the gold detail on the LV coat, but for a more affordable version browse Armani Exchange. Navy bottoms are gorgeous and look amazing paired with the white. The shoes were kind of fruity, so i substituted with some sick high top vans.

Leather jackets are a main wardrobe staple for men's spring style.
The white pants can be substituted with light wash denim and a pair of vans. This is one of those wear wherever and look super sexy outfits. Done up or down with your choice of kicks & accessories.

Most Popular Spring Styles

Finally; some consistent spring weather.
Ohio's weather has been screwing with style, forcing chicks to rock their UGGs to class one day, and the next some flip flops. Thus far we've seen incredible trends, but below are my favorites.

I love pastel denim; the bright colors spotlight your bottom as opposed to the over-done statement top or accessories. Gap's collection is huge and affordable; my favorite hues include teal, yellow, and lilac.

Corsets have never been my thing, and i usually find them incredibly tacky. Spring showed me a different side to the top, pairing white lace with high waist denim and skirs. The white lace looks fabulous with a tan, and against your abs.

Cut-outs are super sexy and such a refreshing trend, giving your cleavage a break. Sport the cut-out dress formally and casually. Urban Outfitter's has a large variety, pretty affordable too.

Arm cuffs are fierce, edgy, and sexy. That is that.

The white blouse was always one of those lame tops i would throw on before a show-choir concert in 8th grade; never something i would consider stylish..until now. These have been transformed from formal soloist to casual prep. Loveee

I love this style of shoe. They're so fashionable hippy goes to Coachella.
